Looking for a great career move, combining your experience with a love of sport? Tyne Amateur Rowing Club was seeking a customer focussed Bar Manager for its progressive organisation. A permanent contract was on offer, full time. Salary was negotiable based on experience and hours were to be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Looking for a great career move, combining your experience and love of sport? Tyne Amateur Rowing Club is currently seeking a customer focussed Bar Manager for its progressive organisation.
Permanent, full time, salary negotiable based on experience, hours flexible to meet the needs of the business.
Who are we?
Tyne Amateur Rowing Club is an ambitious community rowing club with the objective to be the rowing club of choice in Newcastle upon Tyne. We have excellent facilities, including a large fleet of rowing boats, dedicated aerobic and weights suites, and a large bar / function room. In addition, we have conference and event facilities. Income generated by our bar facilities is instrumental in helping the club achieve its short term and long term goals. We have exciting plans for the future, including further developments of the club and enhancing the rowing experience for our members and developing further participation with the community.
The club boasts over 300 members who all make use of the club facilities on a weekly basis as well as a large number of volunteers. The clubhouse is a huge asset to the club enabling it accommodate a variety of sporting and event based activities.
What would the role involve?
As Bar Manager you will be responsible for:
You will report to the Club Manager who is guided by a Committee and trustees.

- Liaising closely with the Club Manager to develop and deliver the business plan to drive retail, food & beverage and events income.
- Be the host of the club, responsible for creating a warm and friendly member and guest experience
- Overall daily running of the Bar
- Stock Management
- Bar & Cellar work
- Cash Handling
- Staff management
- Routine Bar maintenance
- Other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.
You will report to the Club Manager who is guided by a Committee and trustees.
