Mixed fortunes on the Thames! The Head of the River Race for open eights on 29 March started in perfect conditions but by the time the last mile was reached it was very choppy and boats including our first boat were taking in water; our lads then 'sank' just after the finish!
All hands were saved, but the whole race was then abandoned and the second boat only got a row back to the steps. On 30 March the Black masters eight had a good row in a fast short course Vesta Vets head.
