Honorary club member and Tyne junior squad graduate Kieren Emery, now rowing with Leander, and Peter Chambers of Oxford Brookes won a gold medal at the World Championships at Lake Bled on 1 September 2011 in the Lightweight Pairs. Details can be found here on the British Rowing website.
Kieren was in town on 8 September and called in to the club to see assembled coaches and vets, there for Brian Dalkin's 75th birthday celebrations. Trebles all round!
