Adults

The club will be running two parallel 8-week courses during July and August (and just in to September). The courses will run:

- one on Wednesday evenings 14 Jul - 1 Sep inclusive from 6.00-8.30pm

- the other on Sunday afternoons 18 Jul - 5 Sep inclusive from 1.00-3.30pm.

If you cannot attend one of these courses over the summer, we may be running a Saturday afternoon course in the autumn.

The course will cost £100, which includes £23 for membership of our parent organisation, British Rowing. We will send you formal application/temporary membership forms when you confirm your interest and we know there is a place for you.

Further to the course of 8 weeks, if you are minded to carry on rowing with the club, we will offer you free membership of the club up to the end of September and you can carry on coming down on the same day and time at no extra charge. These free sessions will still be coached, though not as intensively as the course sessions.

After that we will seek to form our new 'novice squad' for the 2010-11 rowing season. This will meet both Wednesdays and Sundays at the same time as the courses through the winter, and we will expect most people to attend most weeks on both days. Juniors

We are offering a relatively informal arrangement for juniros over all six weeks of the school holidays in 2010. We are arranging two sessions each week from 3.00pm to 5.00pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It is only really worthwhile signing up if you can attend for at least six sessions overall, as rowing is not something you can pick up instantly. It is obviously best if you can come for more, even all 12.

Let us know if you are interested and, if so, on which dates you would anticipate coming down. We will need to know in advance, to ensure we have adequate coaching and other help, though we should be able to accommodate changes as we go along. We will then confirm arrangements back to you.

We charge £2.50 per session. The sessions will be led by Amy Ward and other qualified and CRB checked coaches.

We ask participants to join the club on a temporary basis for the duration of the holidays to ensure insurance and other cover. At the end of the holidays we will discuss with rowers and parents if they wish to join the club and train with us over the winter and into next year.
