The regatta ran despite gathering winds and mounting waves. Only the 'fun' home club J13 4x+ races were scratched.

A small but enthusiastic entry vied for a range of cups and prizes, culminating in the Elite men's eight race between the home club Tyne and St Hild & St Bede from Durham Uni. A close run but decisive race saw SHB take the honours.
