Tyne Regatta - 19 June 2021 - report
We ran our regatta in 2021. It was over a 1000 metre course on the Newburn straight, in 2/3/4 lanes, passing under Newburn bridge for excitement. The start was a little upstream of Stella with the finish at the club. As usual it was a free start with no stake boats. Results are downloadable below.
We offered all the main categories of boat for Seniors, Juniors and Masters, plus Mixed Club eights and octs. Entries opened on BROE at 6.00pm on 24 May but had to be suspended at about 7.30pm as we were full. We think everyone who wanted to get in did so as there there were very few anguished emails about missing this short window!

Tyne Regatta was cancelled in 2019 - see archive page here. The Regatta was also cancelled in 2020, this time due to Covid-19 and Government and Britsh Rowing restrictions. However a Virtual Tyne ARC Regatta 2020 was held - see its archive page here.
