Clubmark is a cross-sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards.
National governing bodies of sport and county sport partnerships award Clubmark to proven high quality clubs. The national scheme has been in place since 2002 and there are now over 2,000 accredited clubs across over 20 sports.
Clubmark accreditation is awarded to clubs that comply with minimum operating standards in four areas:
- the playing programme
- duty of care and child protection
- sports equity and ethics
- club management
The club takes its responsibilities on the above seriously. You can already see our separate pages on governance, welfare and water safety. We achieved Clubmark accredidtation in 2005 and are currently applying for re-accreditation and anticipate this being in place by February 2010 alongside fully updated policies and procedures.
