117 crews took part in two divisions. The fastest boat of the day was the Tyne RC senior men's IM2 eight with a time of 14:34:25. For some of the novice squad this was their first taste of a real competition, men in a novice eight and women in a coxed quad; not quite such a baptism of fire (or rather water) as in 2009!
